Project Description
This exterior photo of the entrance shows the blend of two different shades of acrylic stucco, and the continuous trim band that circles around the entire house. The brick paved driveway extends up the steps t the front door as shown.
Not only are the lake views spectacular from the terrace, but he view looking back at the house from the terrace is also very dramatic. The rich, warm terra cotta tiled terrace is a great extension of the living space and actually has heat could build in for melting ice and snow.
The living space, as well as most of the first floor, features merbau floating wood floors with radiant heat. It is open to both the dining and kitchen areas, but is subtly defined by a raised soffited ceiling with uplighting, and also a grouping of three slender wood columns over a single more massive granite base.
The fireplace with TV above incorporates three different kinds of granite, and is flanked on either side by cabinets and art niches.
The kitchen cabinets are sapele wood, and also incorporate three different kinds of granite in the island. The two tiered island has a raised section in a lighter shade of granite where the downdraft cooktop is located, and had a slightly lover breakfast bar in a darker rust colored granite. The ends of the island are a third type of granite and houses a recessed art niche in one end.
